Franklin Method® Series - The Spine

Imagery for a Happy, Healthy Spine (4 Week Series)

Dates: January (10, 17, 14, 31), 2018, 9:30-11:30am

To kick off the New Year I will be offering a 4 week Franklin Method® series on the Spine. We will look in depth at the design and function of the spine. We will understand and experience what movement is possible and where movement happens in each segment of the spine. We will learn how to keep our discs healthy and how to feel supported by the ligaments of the spine. We will learn ball and band exercises to improve strength and mobility, as well as a dance that gets the spine moving in all directions. This series will give you the tools to improve posture, mobility, breathing, release tension, feel more lifted through your spine and develop a unique plan to keep your spine healthy for the long term.

This is an opportunity to understand your postural patterns and the way your body is used to moving, so you can begin to change and build new movement patterns. You will connect to the power of the mind and develop a mental toolbox of imageries to help you improve your movement which you will be able to access anytime. You will have the tools to feel better in your body that you can implement right away.

It is recommended that you purchase your own set of Franklin Method® Balls and Bands for your own self practice.

In the Franklin Method®, by understanding your body, you have a better sense of how to use it. You become more aware of what you are doing and can change your patterns. This will make your body more efficient in your daily movement and exercise.
